The last three weeks have been glorious for my online presence. Between the puppy wearing the Tammy Baldwin tee shirt and the video of my grandma absentee voting, I’ve been hitting a straight up gold mine of content. I had that poll asking people if they were registered, which I then followed up with that cute cursive-font link to help people find out where their polling place is. But now that the midterms are over, what the hell am I supposed to post about?
Everyone’s been posting those polls that say “how much do you think i like you?” but I just kind of feel like that’s not super original. I don’t really give a fuck about anyone but myself and I don’t want to have to reveal that information publicly and risk losing fans. My election-day content was so much more entertaining and authentic too. I don’t know if you knew this but people actually care about voting. Which means by association, people totally care about what I post, so I have a reputation to upkeep.
I’ve just been so blocked creatively since election day ended. I posted a screenshot of my Spotify account playing Ariana Grande’s new song, but people just didn’t respond the way they usually do. As an influencer, it’s all about highs and lows. I really just need to ride this high right now. It’s basically all I have to live for.
Maybe I’ll post a #tbt to when I went to that Joe Biden talk and took a blurry selfie with him distantly in the background. It’s kind of a terrible photo of everyone involved, but I can caption it something about meeting my idol and my fans will probably like that. God, why does election season have to end? I can only take so many selfies with my “I Voted” sticker before I look too smart.
I guess I could post something about the results, but I don’t really wanna watch the news to find out who won and no one really cares about that stuff anyway. Maybe I’ll ask my dad who won. I asked him who to vote for so he probably knows. Okay that’s actually a good idea I’m gonna go post now xoxo byeee!
